No volante, temos o Atuesta e o Jailson, e de lateral direito temos o Mayke e o Marcos Rocha. Foram estas as minhas decisões.

Sobre Renan, sobre quem se aventava até mesmo a possibilidade de aparecer no time titular com a indefinição quanto ao nome do nome de Joaquín Piquerez, que só deve se integrar neste domingo ao elenco, Abel foi ainda mais categórico.

-O Renan é outra questão muito fácil. Na minha opinião, os quatro zagueiros que temos (Murilo, Kuscevic, Luan e Gómez), neste momento, e o futebol é o momento, na minha opinião os quatro zagueiros que eu acho que temos que escolher que estão em melhor forma, são estes quatro.

A estreia no Mundial de Clubes será na semifinal nesta terça-feira (8), às 13h30 (de Brasília), contra o Al Ahly, do Egito.

Leeds United missed out on the chance to move back into the automatic promotion place on Wednesday night as they were beaten 1-0 by Millwall.

The hosts won the match at The Den thanks to a first-half goal from Japhet Tanganga, who prodded the ball into the bottom corner from a header back across from the left flank.

It is only the second defeat of the Championship season for Daniel Farke and his men, but they will be disappointed that they failed to trouble the Lions.

Millwall away is not the fixture you would immediately think of suiting a player like Brenden Aaronson, and that turned out to be the case on Wednesday.

The USA international has lost 60% of his duels in the Championship this season and his slight frame in the number ten role did not seem to be the ideal fit for a clash at The Den.

As expected, the former Union Berlin loanee struggled to get into the game and lost seven of his 11 ground duels and three of his four aerial contests throughout the match.

This shows that the opposition defenders found it far too easy to get the better of him, on the deck and in the air, as he did not have the requisite physicality to compete with them.

When he did have the ball, though, his use of it was solid. Aaronson completed 93% of his attempted passes and created two chances for his teammates, but did not register an assist.

The American was not the worst performer on the night for the West Yorkshire outfit, though, as centre-forward Joel Piroe struggled even more than him.

Farke must now instantly bin the Dutch striker from the starting XI after he struggled badly against Millwall, in and out of possession, on Wednesday night.

LeedsLive handed him a dismal player rating of 4/10 and wrote that he offered virtually no threat in the final third with his work inside the Lions’ box, despite playing the full 90 minutes.

Piroe has scored five goals in 14 appearances in the Championship so far this season but did not come close to finding the back of the net at The Den.

Aaronson won five times as many duels as the Dutch striker and completed a higher percentage of his passes, whilst winning three fouls for his side, which suggests that the American – despite a poor showing – still offered more than the Leeds number ten.

Quite simply, Piroe let Farke down with his struggles in and out of possession, offering little to no threat in the final third and being dominated off the ball, and that is why the German should swiftly drop him for Mateo Joseph at the weekend.

A brutal 51-ball century from Rovman Powell blasted West Indies to a 20-run victory over England and a 2-1 lead in their five-match T20I series in Barbados.Powell muscled the hosts to 224 for 5 with an astonishing 107 off just 53 deliveries amid a 122-run stand for the third wicket with Nicholas Pooran, who was the perfect cornerman to Powell’s heavyweight destroyer with a sublimely crafted 70 off 43.In response, England’s inexperienced team – which had undergone no less than five changes through illness, injury and rotation – were left punch drunk until Tom Banton’s gallant half-century and an assured 57 from Phil Salt on his T20I debut kept them in the fight. But ultimately, the tourists had been left with too much to do.Powell’s powerMaking his first appearance of the series after being called up to bolster West Indies’ batting in place of allrounder Odean Smith, Powell did exactly what his side asked of him. Their line-up was hardly tested in pursuit of a paltry 104 in Saturday’s nine-wicket victory but stumbled badly on Sunday when they were forced to rely on ninth-wicket stand of 72 between Romario Shepherd and Akeal Hosein to get within two runs of victory. But he fell victim to West Indies captain Kieron Pollard, who had already removed Moeen for a duck in an excellent spell, when he was caught by Jason Holder.That was shortly after Livingstone, who appeared to be suffering some after-effects of his illness during his innings, fell to a sharp catch by Hosein backpedalling to extra cover and managing to hold on as he landed on his back. Hosein almost took a screamer at point that would have had Salt out for a duck, but the ball spilled as his arm hit the ground after a valiant leap.Playing on the island where had lived for six years as a youngster, Salt made the most of his chance, racing to his score off just 24 deliveries, including five sixes on a night when 31 in all were struck. With England needing 36 off the last six balls, Salt brought up his fifty with the first of back-to-back sixes off Shepherd, but he fell next ball, bowled round his legs and it was game over for England.
